Therapies

 

Occupational Therapy

       Occupational Therapists work with individuals on daily play and living skills, assessing both cognitive, physical and sensory requirements for tasks.  They develop adapt and alter tasks to help people succeed in activities and look at special equipment that may provide assistance.

 

 

Physical Therapy

       Physical Therapists work with individuals on daily play and living skills and look at the physical requirements of tasks.  They develop programs to help complete the daily skills and look at mobility and seating equipment if needed.

 

 

Speech Therapy

       Speech Therapists look at receptive and expressive language and any physical impairments that are affecting those abilities including oral motor, swallowing and feeding concerns.

 

 

Developmental Therapy

       Developmental Therapists or Special Instructors are teachers that are specially trained to work with young children regarding pre academic skills.  They work to help children develop early cognitive skills and learn the importance of learning colors, shapes, objects, numbers, and social skills such as sharing, turn taking, and peer play.
